Anger

Ok so I know that EVERYONE well most people struggle with this. I for one am definitely guilty. lots of the times we know that we aren't suppose to hold grudges and that letting our anger continue to linger isn't what god wants. If we let that anger continue to remain in ourselves and not face the problem we are in serious trouble. That Anger will eventually turn to hate and to hate into sin. Don't get me wrong there are times to be angry, but we must ask our selves are we being angry for the right reasons? This kinda of anger is Righteous anger where you are doing it for GODS will and not our own. Unfortunately the anger I'm talking about isn't righteous anger but sinful anger. Sinful anger will eventually come to grow to a point where it will tear our lives apart. It will rip away and destroy the thing we should cherish most... Our relationship with God!

so in paul's attempts to change the ways of the people of Galatia, he brings up what type of life God seeks...(see blurb below for more context...)

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 19-21)

Fits of anger, strife, dissensions, and division...true aint it? How can we follow in his foot septs if we don't let go. So let this be a warning to us all. This is what awaits us if and when we dont let go of our anger. We will not become heirs of his kingdom, we will not eat his tables, and there will be no happy ending. This may be seem farfetched but this isnt something to take in lightly. This struggle is something hard to deal with, but we must pray and continue to seek strength and encouragement to follow the steps of our father.

So I leave y'all with this wwjd?...He'd tell you to let go of your anger and seek his face...and if you cant... well then you're just not trying hard enough. Seriously no joke... if God was able to Let go and Forgive us for what we did to his son...what right do we he have to hold anything against anyone else?

so recently i've been really into Apostle Paul's letters to the churches of Galatia, so here is some context for you.

In paul's letters to the churches in Galatia, he is angry and on fire(the good anger of course). He is angry with the lifestyle that the people of Galatia display. The people of Galatia before receiving this letter lived their lives according to what they thought fit them best. They set up walls treating others however society saw fit( is it just me or doesn't that sound a little to familiar with the world today?) Christians, yes you heard me, christians were even looking down at each other as second class citizens because they did not fulfill societies requirements. Its seriously Blasphemous!

Standing Strong

Life is hard, and its no joke when people say it gets harder when you're trying follow in Jesus's shoes. I mean living and walking with christ in this world is no easy job. So many times life just seems to get in the way. Like times when you should be nice to someone that gets on youre nerves, or when you should avoiding the "bad" stuff, or even just crakin open your bible everyday. Jesus has given us a higher calling but how can we do that if we dont stand strong and learn to become more like him. We cant! In order for us to become more and more like him we need to root ourselves like trees and dive into his word. We need to be so intwined with him so that when sin tries to blow us away we still will stand. So I encourage who ever is reading this with Pauls letter to the church at Colosse.

Colossians 2:6-8
6Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 10 and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

Glory to our father!
